Grammy Award-winning American singer, songwriter and actress Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti is in Kenya.
Ashanti, who was a popular R&B superstar from the early to mid-2000s, did not however disclose why she was in the country, only surprising her Kenyan fans by sharing stories of her stay in Kenya.
The Grammy Award-winning singer shared the fun she is having at the Nairobi National Safari on social media. Through a series of posts on her insta story. “Nairobi, the motherland,” she captioned one of the photos of local cuisines she had upon landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.In the second video, the American musician shared a photo while enjoying Kenyan delicacy coconut curry snapper.
Ashanti joins the growing list of international celebrities who have visited Kenya in the past three years positioning Kenya competitively in the region as the preferred destination.
