Tourism Seychelles, accompanied by German Tour Operator Seyvillas and Condor Airlines, featured in the Berlin Travel Festival, which took place from 25th to 27th November.

Organised on the premises of the Messe Berlin, Tourism Seychelles representatives showcased the allure of the Seychelles Islands as a dream holiday destination and drew in large crowds during their time at the consumer trade expo.

One of the centerpieces at the expo was the newest features of Condor airlines. Visitors were able to try out Condor’s new Business Class seats and appreciate the various novel features.

It is worth noting that Condor is the only Airline that has direct flights from Germany to Seychelles. This facilitate travel for visitors who wish to visit Seychelles; thus, it is no surprise that the customers jumped at the opportunity to book their tickets right on the spot at the SeyVillas counter. With expert guidance from the representatives, the enthused customers were able to plan their next vacation to Seychelles for next year.

Mr Christian Zerbian, Tourism Seychelles’ Market Representative for Germany, commented on the exhibit’s overall engagement.

“We are pleased to see strong interest in Seychelles. The trade show came right in time following the announcement of the removal of the last Covid-19 travel measures, which facilitates the entry procedure before travelling to Seychelles,” says Mr Zerbian.

As part of the strategic reorientation of ITB Berlin into a trade visitor-only show, the Berlin Trade Festival intends to become the new home for all long-time weekend visitors of ITB Berlin in the future. The organisers of the Travel Festival want to carry on the tradition of the ITB Visitor Weekend and are convinced that they will be able to offer even more experiences and information through their new leisure alliance with other trade fairs such as Boot & Fun.

Straying away from previous festival calendars, the new Berlin Travel Festival took place for the first time in November and not at the same time as ITB, which was supposed to be held in March. Tourism Seychelles has been a loyal participant of ITB Berlin over the years and is anticipated to attend next year’s ITB as a business-only trade show.
Per the latest inbound visitor records, Germany remains Seychelles’ second-best source market with a total of 41,740 visitors recorded from January to November.
